Renewal of Vows
A Vow Renewal Ceremony is designed for couples who decide they would like to celebrate their love and commitment by reaffirming or renewing their commitment to each other. It is sometimes particularly relevant to those who have been through a period which put a strain on their relationship or where they weren't able to have the ceremony of their choice on their wedding day. Many couples choose to renew their wedding vows on their 10th, 20th or other important wedding anniversary. This can be a private occasion or a celebration with family and friends.
Commitment Ceremonies
A Commitment Ceremony, although not legally binding, is a wonderful way in which couples can share their commitment of love with those close to them.
Commitment ceremonies are also ideal for couples who for different reasons, be they personal, legal, religious or cultural, are unable to have a legal wedding in Australia.
I am very flexible in my approach to the occasion. My focus is on making the ceremony relaxed and enjoyable for everyone.
Baby Naming Ceremonies
A Naming Ceremony is usually non-religious and provides the opportunity to welcome a new life into the family in the presence of friends and loved ones. As a popular alternative to a Christening or Baptism, the baby or child is formally introduced and the chosen names bestowed upon them. Guardians or Godparents are usually appointed during the ceremony, which can be held in your own home, in a park or wherever you prefer.
The Naming Ceremonies I conduct are designed to be very relaxing and personal, with poems, music, candles. I believe that a naming ceremony should revolve entirely around your child as well as suit your cultural beliefs.
There are no prior legal requirements for this ceremony but you will need to supply the names of those you wish to be guardians plus the birth date of the child to the celebrant.
At the conclusion of the ceremony I present you with a personalised certificate, which can be signed by family and friends who are present at this special occasion.
