So your wedding day has finally arrived. All of the special plans you've put in place are being enacted - with hair and makeup appointments, photographers, and the car arriving to take you to your marriage ceremony. I will be at the wedding venue at least 45 minutes earlier setting up the PA system and lectern. I will have my printed copy of the service together with printed copies (in large font so you won't need your glasses!) of all the speeches and readings that are required. I will have them ready to hand to the speakers to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
I will welcome the groom when he arrives, and wait with him, calming his nerves, while your guests gather in anticipation of your wedding ceremony.
A welcome to your guests and then we can start your chosen music for the bride’s walk down the aisle - the beginning of your wedding ceremony.
During the ceremony, people want to hear you - not me! I will use a hand held microphone so that your guests can hear you when you exchange your vows and personal commitments.
After the ceremony has been conducted you will sign a Marriage Certificate which must be signed also by two witnesses over the age of eighteen.
Because you don't want to worry about paperwork when your wedding day finally arrives, I will have already walked you through completion of all other necessary documentation including the request for a formal Marriage Certificate from the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages. You will require this for identification for passports, etc. in the future.
After the ceremony I will also present you with a ribbon bound copy of your wedding ceremony provided in appreciation of being invited to be a part of your wedding day.
Now it's time to build your wedding vows!
